Job Details:
Thurrock Council is seeking a qualified and experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Adults Safeguarding Team as a Senior Practitioner.
The successful candidate will:
Carry out safeguarding duties including emergency duty visits.
Undertake initial information gathering, signposting, and completing Section 42 safeguarding enquiries under the Care Act.
Participate in safeguarding strategy meetings.
Complete Care Act assessments and Mental Capacity Act assessments.
Work with adults referred to the team due to safeguarding concerns.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualifying experience in Adult Social Care.
Proven experience of completing Section 42 Safeguarding Enquiries.
Experience with Care Act assessments and MCA assessments.
Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Availability to attend the office at least 2 days per week and travel across the borough as required.
