Job details:  Mental Health Assessor required – can be either an RMN/CPN or will accept a Social Worker or OT with MH experience. This is a Remote working role for The Veterans Mental Health Service. To start asap for 12 weeks.
Skills/experience: Competent in completing initial assessments for mental health referrals and identifying working diagnosis and suggested treatment plan. JD available on request:

• The post holder will be responsible for completing initial assessments for new referrals to the Op Courage Community Veterans Mental Health Service.
• The post holder does not need to be a member of the Armed Forces Community, however online training to familiarise oneself with military culture and key priorities will be offered
• This service covers the six counties that fall within the geographical patch of the East of England. This post requires the post holder to be comfortable and confident with completing mental health assessment sessions virtually
• This post will involve working within the collaborative provision of the Op Courage Veterans Mental Health Service, which includes another NHS Trust and charity partners. This means that the post-holder will need to ensure a high degree of communication with working partners
• The role will include responsibility for initial assessment, risk assessment and care planning of clients referred to the service.
• The post holder will work as part of the MDT and will present cases to aid with clinical decision making around treatment, care and support of the Veteran.
• The post holder will be responsible for referring to and liaising with other agencies involved with the Veteran, including locality Mental Health Services, to ensure that all parties are aware of the care and support provided and roles and responsibilities within the plan of care.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 09.00 – 17.00. Will consider less hours.
