Job Title: Occupational Therapist – Band 5 Area: East London NHS Salary: £negotiable Job Type: Locum Contract length: Ongoing Job details: Surgery team. Occupational Therapist required with experience within the acute setting. Able to work across surgery wards but mainly working on the HPB/Colorectal ward. Patient base covers step down ITU patients. Patients with compromised nutrition and impaired mobility/ability to manage own care needs. Complex patients, as RLH is Colorectal centre of excellence, so patients are admitted from across the UK. Ability to complex discharge plan is essential. Able to assess and treat patients, whilst goal setting to progress their function. Complex seating management. The ideal candidate will be able to/have experience of clinically reasoning when a patient is appropriate for Inpatient Rehabilitation versus home with community input. Candidate should be used to and able to lead on complex manual handling, including the use of equipment, such as Hoists and Sara stedy. Working hours: Full time. 37.5 hours per week.
