Job Title: Occupational Therapist – Band 6 Area: Shropshire NHS Salary: £negotiable Job Type: Locum Contract length: Ongoing Job Details: Immediate start, initially for 2 months. Occupational Therapist required for Community Hospital inpatient ward work. Skills/experience: must have inpatient experience. JD available on request: To provide a high-quality Occupational Therapy service within a multidisciplinary team, delivering a flexible approach to patient care, in a variety of settings throughout the locality, following the patient through their care pathway.
To work as a key member of the multidisciplinary team (MDT) that is responsive to the needs of the local population, working flexibly to respond to the changing needs of the patient.
To provide a key role in facilitating the seamless transition from community hospital to patient’s own home and transferring the care of the patient to other appropriate services to maximise the patient’s independence and quality of life.
To complete Occupational Therapy assessments of patients with diverse presentations, with complex physical and psychological diagnoses, to inform treatment planning based around agreed and realistic goals
