Job Title: Senior Occupational Therapist Area: Kent Social Services Salary: £36 Job Type: Locum Contract length: Ongoing Job details: Senior Occupational Therapist required to start asap for the Occupational Therapy Team to cover the winter period. Flexible Working: the Occupational Therapist will be expected to complete community visits to clients. The current hybrid arrangement is 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home. The role will involve: • Occupational Therapy Assessments of clients in their own home for the required equipment and minor adaptations to maximise their independence. • Supporting with triage and decisions around suitability with OT, reablement, etc. • Moving and Handling assessments, including providing equipment, identifying reduction of care where suitable. • Working with the existing D2A OT to cover hospital discharge. • Assessing for and providing major adaptations. Current registration with HCPC is essential. JD available on request: – To promote and maintain independence for vulnerable and disabled service users. – To assess the functional needs of service users and their carers in line with relevant legislation and departmental policy. – Together with the service user, to plan and implement a range of therapeutic interventions. – To review and provide continued assessment and intervention as necessary.
