Job Title: Occupational Therapist Area: East London Social Services Salary: £negotiable Job Type: Locum Contract length: Ongoing Job details: Occupational Therapist required for integrated Reablement Service, within adult social care. The post holder will be working with service users in the community for up to six weeks on a rehabilitation programme, supported by in house reablement officers (ROs) who deliver reabling care under the direction of OT, with the aim to prevent, reduce or delay development of long-term care needs. Mixture of hospital discharges and community referrals so varied caseload. Experience of case work and physical rehab in busy environment essential. Strong and supportive team with excellent clinical support. Band 6 level/equivalent – not suitable for newly qualified or band 5 level. Min 2 years’ experience as qualified OT. Some remote working, expectation to complete risk assessed home visits as required and to be office based two days/week. Need to be London based to manage any urgent events with case load.
