Job Title: Neuro Occupational Therapist – Band 6/7 Location:Chelsea and Westminster – West Middlesex site Area: London NHS Salary: £negotiable Job Type: Locum Contract length: Ongoing Job details: Experienced and energetic Neuro Occupational Therapist required to start asap for 6 weeks to cover sickness. To work within the HIV, Oncology & Palliative Therapy team.
The role will require strong neuro rehab skills, discharge planning skills, the ability to work autonomously under pressure, and a sound clinical understanding of falls, cognitive impairment and common pathology in acute medicine. This would also suit an OT with neuro skills as they may need to support with rehabilitation of post ICU step down, neuro complications from cancer. The role would suit an OT with interest and experience within these areas. Essential criteria: HCPC registration and qualified OT status. Neuro- rehab skills, Discharge planning skills, the ability to work autonomously under pressure, and a sound clinical understanding of different types of cancer, cognitive impairment and common pathology’s related to frailty syndrome. Awareness of fast-track pathway. NHS essential. Working hours: Monday to Friday, 08.30 -16.30. Code: U.001008.B12531
