View JobSwindon Borough Council is recruiting a dedicated and experienced Locum Qualified Social Worker to join its Children’s Social Care team. The successful candidate will work with children and families to ensure safety, stability, and improved outcomes through statutory interventions.
Key Responsibilities:

Carry out assessments under Section 17 and Section 47 of the Children Act.

Manage a caseload of children and families in need, including Child in Need, Child Protection, and Looked After Children.

Develop and review care plans, ensuring they are child-focused and outcome-driven.

Prepare clear, concise reports for meetings, reviews, and court proceedings.

Engage effectively with families and professionals to achieve positive change and permanency.

Maintain accurate case notes and records using the council’s case management system.
Requirements: Social Work England (SWE) registration, right to work in the UK, and minimum 2–3 years’ statutory experience working within children’s services.
