Lead on the most complex adult social care cases, including safeguarding, mental capacity, hospital discharge, and continuing healthcare, ensuring compliance with the Care Act 2014 and related legislation.

Provide expert guidance, mentoring, and professional support to social workers, newly qualified staff, and students, promoting reflective practice and high professional standards.

Complete and oversee comprehensive assessments, support planning, and risk management, applying strengths-based and person-centred approaches to maximise independence and wellbeing.

Act as a specialist advisor in applying the Mental Capacity Act 2005, completing capacity assessments and contributing to best interest decisions, including attending court when required.

Support the quality assurance process by reviewing complex cases, auditing practice, and contributing to service improvements and policy development.

Champion partnership working across health, housing, and voluntary sectors to ensure integrated, multi-agency responses to adults with care and support needs.
