View JobBradford Council is seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Social Worker to join its Children’s Services team. The successful candidate will work to safeguard and promote the welfare of vulnerable children and young people, supporting families through complex assessments and care planning. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional with a passion for child protection and a strong understanding of statutory responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:

Undertake complex assessments and care planning for children and families in line with statutory requirements and best practice frameworks.

Manage a caseload of child in need, child protection, and looked-after children cases, ensuring timely interventions and high-quality support.

Provide mentoring and professional guidance to less experienced social workers, supporting their development and promoting reflective practice.

Chair multi-agency meetings and contribute to case conferences, reviews, and court proceedings as required.

Maintain accurate, up-to-date case records and ensure reports are completed to a high standard within statutory timeframes.

Work collaboratively with families, partners, and other professionals to deliver holistic and child-focused services that improve outcomes.
