View JobWarwickshire County Council is recruiting an experienced Locum Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join their Child Protection and Assessment Team. This role focuses on frontline safeguarding work, including assessments, risk management, and immediate protective interventions for children and families. Ideal candidates will have strong statutory experience and excellent assessment and planning skills.
Key Responsibilities:

Undertake Section 17 and Section 47 assessments in response to safeguarding concerns.

Carry out timely and thorough investigations and develop clear, outcome-focused plans.

Manage a caseload of children in need and those subject to child protection plans.

Work in partnership with families, professionals, and agencies to reduce risk and promote safety.

Attend child protection conferences, strategy meetings, and, where necessary, initiate care proceedings.

Maintain up-to-date and accurate case records in accordance with Warwickshire County Council’s procedures and statutory requirements.
