Join Gateshead Council’s Children’s Services as a Qualified Social Worker, working to safeguard and support children, young people, and families across the borough.

Undertake statutory assessments, child protection enquiries, and care planning in line with the Children Act 1989, delivering timely and effective interventions.

Manage a varied caseload involving children in need, those on child protection plans, and looked after children, using a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach.

Collaborate with children, families, schools, health professionals, and multi-agency partners to create integrated, child-focused support plans that drive positive change.

Ensure the voice and experience of the child is central to all decisions, promoting their safety, wellbeing, and long-term development.
