Join Newcastle City Council’s Adults’ Services as a Qualified Social Worker, supporting adults with care and support needs to achieve independence, wellbeing, and dignity.

Carry out strengths-based assessments under the Care Act 2014, working collaboratively with individuals, families, and carers to develop personalised care plans.

Manage a varied caseload that may include older adults, people with physical or learning disabilities, and those with mental health needs, ensuring safe and appropriate care solutions.

Work in partnership with multi-agency teams to deliver coordinated services that prevent escalation of need and promote sustainable outcomes.

Contribute to safeguarding adults at risk by identifying and responding to abuse or neglect and participating in multi-agency safeguarding processes.

Be part of a supportive local authority that values staff through regular supervision, flexible working options, CPD opportunities, and a strong focus on workforce wellbeing and retention.
