Outpatient Registered Nurse (RGN)

Location: Ipswich
Pay Rate: £30 per hour
Duration: Ongoing

Role Overview:

We are seeking an Outpatient Registered Nurse (RGN) to join the Ipswich Outpatients department. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical experience in outpatient settings, including phlebotomy and wound care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality nursing care in an outpatient setting.
  • Perform phlebotomy procedures and ensure accurate sample handling.
  • Conduct wound care management, ensuring proper assessment and treatment.
  • Support patient assessments, treatments, and follow-ups in coordination with the wider clinical team.
  • Administer medications and treatments as per protocols.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in line with NMC and organisational standards.
  • Ensure infection control and hygiene procedures are followed at all times.
  • Assist in minor procedures and diagnostic testing where required.
  • Offer patient education and support regarding treatment plans and post-care instructions.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (NMC) qualification with valid PIN.
  • Experience in an outpatient setting is essential.
  • Competency in phlebotomy and wound care.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a multi-disciplinary team.
