View JobAs a Speech and Language Therapist with Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust, working within community teams across Shrewsbury, Telford and Oswestry, you will provide specialist services to adults within the Shropshire NHS area. Operating at Band 7, you will deliver assessment and intervention for patients with communication and swallowing needs, with dysphagia competence essential for this role. You will collaborate closely with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective care and improved outcomes.

Undertake specialist assessments of speech, language, communication and swallowing needs in community settings.

Develop, implement and evaluate individualised therapy plans with a focus on dysphagia management.

Provide expert training, advice and support to patients, carers and healthcare professionals on communication and safe swallowing strategies.

Work collaboratively with community teams and multidisciplinary professionals across Shrewsbury, Telford and Oswestry.

Maintain accurate and detailed clinical records in line with NHS and professional standards.

Contribute to leadership, service development and quality improvement initiatives within the speech and language therapy service.
