Job Title: Hand Therapist – Band 6
Location: Croydon Healthcare Services – Croydon University Hospital

Contract Length: Ongoing (6 months initially)
Job Details: Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist required for an immediate start for a 6-month placement within the Outpatient Department.
The post holder will join a vibrant and supportive team of Neurological Therapists and Occupational Therapists on site and will liaise closely with Trauma & Orthopaedic Consultants who run weekly clinics at the hospital.
- Assess and treat a broad range of hand and wrist injuries and conditions
- Manage trauma and elective caseloads including RA, OA, CRPS and post-operative patients
- Fabricate and fit thermoplastic splints (essential)
- Provide wound management as required
- Work collaboratively as part of the Hand Therapy team
- Manage an extensive caseload with effective time management
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Hand Therapy experience at Band 6 level
- Ability to fabricate thermoplastic splints
- Experience managing trauma and elective patients
- Knowledge of wound management
- Strong organisational and clinical reasoning skills
Working Hours: Full-time preferred. 3 or 4 days per week will be considered.
