Job details: Paediatric Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist required who is experienced in the provision of specialist equipment and major/minor adaptations and who ideally has knowledge and skills to carry out safety assessments for disabled children across the city. This is an extremely busy service which assesses both children and adult’s city wide and who have complex physical and hidden disabilities. The team are looking for someone who is dedicated, empathetic, has excellent communication skills and is used to managing a case load. The post holder will complete holistic assessments to identify the most appropriate bespoke equipment, major adaptations and moving and handling equipment for the citizen. They will be allocated cases on a monthly basis and work closely with children’s services, and colleagues in health/hospitals
The post holder will provide succinct and comprehensive reports and have excellent IT skills, be able to drive city wide and be flexible with their time as some visits will be before/after school
Skills/experience: must have paediatric experience and experience of working with children with hidden disabilities and home safety assessments.
Average of 8 cases per month over 3 months. Hybrid role – Parking available on site. JD available on request.
