Nottinghamshire County Council is currently seeking an experienced and committed Locum Qualified Social Worker to join their Children in Need (CIN) team. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to support vulnerable children and families across the county through timely interventions and effective case management. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential due to the nature of the work across rural and urban areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of children and families requiring support under CIN, CP, or pre-proceedings frameworks

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify risks, strengths, and needs

  • Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with families and partner agencies

  • Undertake statutory visits, reviews, and ensure all safeguarding responsibilities are met

  • Prepare reports for case conferences, legal proceedings, and reviews as required

  • Ensure all case records are maintained accurately and in line with council and legislative standards

Requirements:

  • SWE registration

  • Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualifying experience in children’s statutory services

  • Strong working knowledge of child development, safeguarding, and legislative frameworks

  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
