Physiotherapist – Band 6 (Locum)

About the Role

 

An experienced Band 6 Physiotherapist is required to join the acute therapy team, providing support on the hospital’s escalation ward. This role focuses on delivering effective, patient-centred physiotherapy for individuals with a range of acute medical needs.

 

Main Responsibilities

 

  • Deliver high-quality physiotherapy assessments and treatments for patients on the escalation ward.
  • Work within an acute medical environment, supporting rapid decision-making and patient flow.
  • Develop and implement tailored treatment and rehabilitation plans.
  • Liaise closely with the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective care planning.
  • Contribute to discharge planning to support timely patient transitions.

 

Skills & Experience

 

  • Acute medical physiotherapy experience (essential).
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced MDT environment.
  • HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist.
