About the Role
A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 6 Physiotherapist to join the Therapy Outpatients service at Aintree Hospital. This is an ongoing locum role within an acute medical setting, ideal for a motivated clinician with strong assessment and discharge planning skills. You’ll be working closely with multidisciplinary colleagues to support patient flow and safe, timely discharges.
Main Responsibilities
- Carry out high-quality physiotherapy assessments within an acute medicine setting.
- Provide equipment recommendations and arrange provision to support patient safety and independence.
- Lead and contribute to discharge planning, ensuring smooth and coordinated transitions of care.
- Participate in board rounds as part of the wider multidisciplinary team.
- Deliver patient-centred interventions that optimise mobility, function and recovery.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with Trust and HCPC standards.
Requirements
- HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist.
- Experience in acute physiotherapy, ideally within medical or therapy outpatient settings.
- Strong assessment, discharge planning and MDT working skills.
- Ability to manage a varied caseload independently.
- Excellent communication and clinical reasoning abilities.
Working Hours
- Shift pattern between 08:00 and 17:00, Monday to Friday.
