Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking a dedicated and culturally sensitive Social Worker to join our team supporting Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC). This vital role involves safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable young people who arrive in the UK without a parent or guardian. Key Responsibilities:

Assess and support the needs of unaccompanied asylum-seeking children, ensuring their safety, well-being, and integration into the local community.

Develop and implement care plans that address legal, educational, health, and emotional needs.

Work closely with multi-agency partners, including legal representatives, healthcare providers, and education services, to coordinate comprehensive support.

Advocate for the rights of UASC, ensuring their voice is heard and their cultural background respected throughout their care journey.
