View JobNottingham is seeking a skilled and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join their Children’s Services team with a focus on Achieving Best Evidence (ABE) work. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting children who are victims or witnesses of abuse, working closely with police and other professionals to carry out evidential interviews and ensure child protection processes are followed.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct ABE interviews in collaboration with police and other agencies in line with national guidance and best practice.

Undertake child protection investigations and assessments under Section 47 of the Children Act.

Contribute to multi-agency planning and strategy discussions to safeguard children at risk of harm.

Provide high-quality written and verbal evidence for court proceedings where required.

Build trust and rapport with children and families to facilitate open, honest communication during sensitive investigations.

Maintain accurate and detailed records, ensuring all documentation complies with legal and procedural standards.
