These roles provide the opportunity to deliver high-quality physiotherapy across acute and general medical settings, supporting recovery, independence, and safe discharge within a multidisciplinary environment.

Undertake physiotherapy assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for adult inpatients with a range of acute and general medical conditions.

Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver coordinated, patient-centred care and support effective discharge planning.

Contribute to the development and implementation of evidence-based treatment pathways and rehabilitation programmes.

Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and mentorship (Band 7) or guidance and support (Band 6) to junior physiotherapists, therapy assistants, and students.

Participate in service evaluation, audit, and quality improvement initiatives to maintain and enhance clinical standards.

Engage in continuing professional development and reflective practice to maintain and advance specialist knowledge and clinical expertise.
