Tripod Partners are recruiting an Occupational Therapist for a locum opportunity with 
North Lincolnshire Council, working within the Independent Living Centre as part of the 
Independent Living Service in East Midlands Social Services.

 

This Occupational Therapist job in North Lincolnshire focuses on supporting individuals to live safely and 
independently within their homes and communities. As part of the Independent Living Service, you will assess functional needs 
and provide practical advice, guidance, and solutions that enhance wellbeing and enable people to maintain independence in 
daily life.

 

Working within a multidisciplinary environment, you will support individuals with a range of needs by identifying appropriate 
interventions, adaptations, and strategies that promote independence, safety, and improved quality of life.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Work as part of the Independent Living Service to deliver occupational therapy support that enhances wellbeing and independence.
  • Assess individuals’ functional abilities and identify needs related to daily living activities.
  • Provide practical advice, guidance, and recommendations to help individuals maintain independence at home.
  • Identify appropriate equipment, adaptations, or strategies that support safe and effective independent living.
  • Develop person-centred solutions that enable individuals to lead fulfilling and independent lives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and partner services to ensure coordinated support for service users.
  • Maintain accurate case documentation and contribute to care planning processes.

 

About You

 

You will be an experienced Occupational Therapist with a strong interest in supporting independence and 
wellbeing within community or social care services. You will be confident assessing functional needs and providing practical 
solutions that enable individuals to live safely and independently in their own homes.

 

Strong communication skills and a person-centred approach are important for this role, as you will work closely with 
individuals, families, and professionals to develop effective solutions that support independent living.

 

Requirements

 

  • Recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience working as an Occupational Therapist within community or social care services.
  • Ability to assess functional needs and provide practical solutions to support independent living.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
