View JobLeicester City Council is looking for an experienced and compassionate Locum Social Worker to join its Adult Social Care team. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking statutory assessments and delivering person-centred care planning to promote independence and safeguard vulnerable adults in the community.
Key Responsibilities:

Carry out Care Act 2014 assessments, reviews, and support planning for adults with a variety of needs, including older people, learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and mental health conditions.

Manage a complex caseload and work within legal frameworks to ensure timely interventions and proportionate risk management.

Undertake safeguarding enquiries under Section 42 of the Care Act, contributing to multi-agency protection plans.

Liaise with health, housing, voluntary sector, and internal council teams to deliver integrated support.

Maintain accurate, up-to-date case notes and contribute to performance targets and statutory returns.
