Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is looking for qualified and experienced Band 6 and Band 7 Speech and Language Therapists to join the adult community and acute teams. These roles provide the opportunity to deliver high-quality care for adults with speech, language, communication, and swallowing (dysphagia) needs, while supporting service development and working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment.

Assess, diagnose, and manage adults with complex speech, language, communication, and swallowing (dysphagia) needs across community and acute settings.

Develop and implement evidence-based therapy programmes and care pathways to improve patient outcomes.

Work closely with the multidisciplinary team, patients, and carers to provide person-centred care.

Provide clinical supervision, mentorship, and support to junior therapists, therapy assistants, and students (with enhanced leadership responsibilities at Band 7).

Participate in audit, service evaluation, and quality improvement initiatives to maintain high standards of clinical practice.

Engage in continuing professional development, reflective practice, and research to enhance specialist knowledge and expertise.
