Tripod Partners are looking for an experienced Band 6 Mental Health Nurse (CAMHS) to join a specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) in Blackpool. This is a full-time, face-to-face role for an initial 3-month contract.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and provide support to young people.
  • Work to service thresholds, ensuring appropriate interventions are in place.
  • Develop and implement care plans and hospital discharge plans.
  • Manage and adapt to changing risk levels, ensuring risk plans are updated accordingly.
  • Provide triage and duty support, prioritising caseloads effectively.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care.
  • Signpost young people to appropriate services and make safeguarding referrals when necessary.
  • Work with young people experiencing a variety of mental health and wellbeing challenges.

Position Details

  • Location: Blackpool
  • Setting: CAMHS / Community Mental Health
  • Contract: 3 months (ASAP – 31/03/2025)
  • Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 – 17:00
  • Pay Rate:
    • Weekday: £26.55 per hour
  • Face-to-Face Work Only

Requirements

  • NMC-registered RMN with experience in CAMHS, children’s mental health, or child protection.
  • Proven ability to assess and manage risk, develop care plans, and support hospital discharges.
  • Experience in triaging and prioritising caseloads in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong safeguarding knowledge and ability to make referrals when needed.
