Brief Job Overview
Tripod Partners are recruiting a Band 6/7 Occupational Therapist for a locum role within Kent NHS. This position focuses on supporting children and young people through the completion of ADOS assessments within a specialist clinical service.
The Occupational Therapist will work with children across a range of ages, completing assessments using ADOS modules 1–4. The role supports multidisciplinary assessment pathways and contributes to high-quality, child-focused clinical services.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out ADOS assessments for children and young people using modules 1–4.
- Support autism assessment pathways within a children’s clinical service.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support assessment outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Utilise EMIS systems for record keeping and case management where required.
- Deliver assessments in line with professional and organisational standards.
About You
You will be an experienced Occupational Therapist with experience working within
children’s services and completing ADOS assessments. You will demonstrate strong
assessment skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
You will be organised, adaptable, and confident managing clinical responsibilities within a flexible
part-time working pattern.
Requirements
- Recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- ADOS assessment training (essential).
- Experience working within children’s services.
- Experience using EMIS desirable, although training can be provided.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
