Join Southampton City Council’s Children’s Services as a Qualified Social Worker, delivering statutory social work interventions to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and families.

Undertake comprehensive assessments, child protection investigations, and care planning in accordance with the Children Act 1989 and local safeguarding procedures.

Manage a diverse caseload including children in need, children subject to child protection plans, and looked after children, employing a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach.

Build trusting relationships with children, families, carers, and partner agencies to support positive change and promote the voice of the child in all decisions.

Collaborate with multi-agency teams to develop coordinated, child-centred care plans aimed at improving outcomes and ensuring children’s safety.

Work within a supportive local authority offering ongoing professional development, regular supervision, flexible working arrangements, and a commitment to staff wellbeing.
