Provide statutory children’s social care services for Portsmouth City Council, managing a caseload across Child in Need, Child Protection, and Looked After Children teams.

Conduct comprehensive assessments under the Children Act 1989, ensuring timely, child-focused interventions that promote safety and wellbeing.

Build strong, supportive relationships with children and families, ensuring their voices are central to all decision-making processes.

Prepare clear, evidence-based reports for child protection conferences, statutory reviews, and court proceedings.

Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners including health, education, and police to deliver coordinated safeguarding and support services.

Participate in regular supervision, reflective practice, and continuous professional development in line with Social Work England registration standards.
