We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Social Worker to support Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC) in Croydon. This role is crucial in providing care, advocacy, and support for vulnerable children who have arrived in the UK without their families. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social work, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of these children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Needs Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments of the needs and circumstances of unaccompanied asylum-seeking children, ensuring their voices are central to the planning process.
- Care Planning: Develop and implement tailored care plans that address the health, education, and emotional well-being of UASC.
- Support and Advocacy: Provide ongoing support and advocacy for UASC, ensuring their rights are upheld and their needs are met.
- Multi-Agency Collaboration: Work collaboratively with foster carers, schools, healthcare providers, and other agencies to deliver coordinated and effective support for UASC.
