View JobLewisham Council is seeking a skilled and reliable Locum Social Worker to join its Case Management Team. This role involves working with a diverse client base, managing complex caseloads, and ensuring high-quality, person-centred practice. The successful candidate will be experienced in statutory social work, capable of effective multi-agency working, and confident in managing cases from assessment through to review and closure.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage a varied caseload, undertaking Care Act 2014 assessments and reviews to identify eligible needs and deliver tailored support plans.

Conduct risk assessments and safeguarding enquiries in line with Section 42 duties.

Coordinate with health professionals, housing, and voluntary sector partners to deliver integrated and timely interventions.

Apply relevant legislation including the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and maintain accurate case recordings and documentation.

Ensure all practice is compliant with council procedures, legal frameworks, and performance standards.
