London Borough of Southwark Council is seeking a qualified and experienced Occupational Therapy Manager to lead services for adults in inpatient and general medicine settings. This senior role focuses on Best Interest Assessments (BIA), telecare, and the provision of equipment and adaptations, ensuring safe, effective, and patient-centred care.

  • Lead and manage occupational therapy services, including oversight of inpatient and general medicine provision.

  • Contribute to and oversee Best Interest Assessments (BIA), ensuring ethical, patient-centred, and legally compliant decision-making.

  • Develop and implement strategies for telecare, equipment, and adaptations to promote independence and safety.

  • Supervise, mentor, and support occupational therapy staff, assistants, and students.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, high-quality care and discharge planning.

  • Drive service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance occupational therapy provision
