View JobThe London Borough of Barking and Dagenham (LBBD) is seeking an experienced and flexible Locum Social Worker to join our Children in Need (CiN) Team. In this pivotal role, you will work with children and families to assess needs, reduce risks, and promote the safety and wellbeing of vulnerable children. The role demands resilience, sound social work knowledge, and excellent multi-agency partnership skills.
Key Responsibilities:

Undertake child and family assessments under Section 17 of the Children Act 1989 to identify support needs.

Develop and implement outcome-focused care and support plans in collaboration with families and professionals.

Monitor and review progress, adjusting interventions to meet changing needs and risks.

Prepare reports for Child Protection Conferences and other statutory meetings as required.

Maintain accurate, detailed case records ensuring compliance with LBBD policies and statutory frameworks.
