View JobAs a DoLS Social Worker, you will be responsible for assessing and authorising deprivation of liberty arrangements for vulnerable adults who lack the capacity to consent to their care or treatment. You will work to protect individuals’ rights while ensuring their safety and well-being in compliance with the Mental Capacity Act and related legislation.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough assessments to determine whether deprivation of liberty safeguards apply and prepare relevant reports.

Authorise or recommend authorisation of DoLS applications in accordance with statutory guidance and legal frameworks.

Liaise with health and social care professionals, legal representatives, and families to ensure appropriate care arrangements.

Maintain detailed and accurate records of assessments, decisions, and communications.

Keep up to date with changes in legislation, best practice, and case law relating to DoLS and safeguarding vulnerable adults.
