View JobWe are seeking an experienced Locum Social Worker to support the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) service. This role involves working with adults who may lack capacity and are subject to restrictions in care homes or hospitals. You will contribute to the lawful assessment and authorisation process under the Mental Capacity Act 2005 (DoLS framework), helping to uphold individuals’ rights and ensure ethical, compliant practice.
Key Responsibilities:

Undertake DoLS assessments and reviews, ensuring timely responses in line with legal frameworks.

Carry out Best Interests Assessments (BIAs) where qualified, and contribute to multi-disciplinary decisions.

Liaise with care providers, health professionals, and families to gather information and support person-centred outcomes.

Maintain accurate records and prepare detailed reports in accordance with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and DoLS Code of Practice.

Support safeguarding processes where necessary and escalate concerns appropriately.
