View JobLambeth Council is seeking a committed and experienced Locum Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join their Child Protection & Assessment Team. This role is key to safeguarding children through timely assessments, risk management, and implementing child-focused interventions. The ideal candidate will have strong frontline experience in statutory children’s services and be confident managing complex cases from initial referral through to care planning.
Key Responsibilities:

Undertake Section 17 and Section 47 assessments in response to referrals and safeguarding concerns.

Manage a caseload of children in need, child protection cases, and those subject to legal proceedings.

Develop and implement robust, outcome-focused care and protection plans.

Liaise with families and multi-agency partners to gather information and deliver coordinated interventions.

Prepare clear, analytical reports for child protection conferences, legal proceedings, and reviews.

Maintain accurate and timely records in line with Lambeth Council’s policies and statutory requirements.
