Buckinghamshire County Council is looking for a skilled and compassionate Social Worker to join our Child Protection and Children in Need teams. This role requires a minimum of 3 years’ experience in children’s social work and current registration with Social Work England (SWE). You will play a vital role in safeguarding children and supporting families through assessment, intervention, and partnership working.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of children subject to Child Protection Plans and Children in Need assessments.

  • Conduct thorough statutory assessments and develop effective support plans.

  • Work closely with families, schools, health professionals, and partner agencies to safeguard children.

  • Prepare reports and contribute to child protection conferences, reviews, and legal proceedings.

  • Maintain accurate, timely case records and comply with statutory guidance.

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in children’s social work.

  • Current Social Work England (SWE) registration.

  • Strong knowledge of child protection legislation, statutory frameworks, and best practices.

  • Excellent communication, assessment, and advocacy skills.
