Undertake statutory social work duties for Middlesbrough Council, working with children and families under Child in Need, Child Protection, and Looked After Children pathways.

Manage a varied caseload, completing timely and high-quality assessments in line with the Children Act and local safeguarding procedures.

Develop and implement child-centred care plans that focus on safety, stability, and long-term outcomes, ensuring the voice of the child is central throughout.

Prepare detailed, evidence-based reports for legal proceedings, child protection conferences, and looked after reviews, meeting court and procedural standards.

Work collaboratively with families and multi-agency professionals to coordinate effective interventions and promote positive change.

Participate in supervision, training, and reflective practice to maintain high standards and support continuous improvement within Middlesbrough Council’s Children’s Services.
