OT Team Manager

Tripod Partners are recruiting an Occupational Therapy Team Manager for a locum role within East London Social Services. The position sits within the Enabling Independence Team, providing leadership and operational management to support the delivery of occupational therapy services that promote independence and wellbeing.
The OT Team Manager will oversee team performance, support professional practice, and ensure that services are delivered in line with statutory responsibilities and organisational priorities. This is a leadership role focused on team management and service delivery rather than holding an individual caseload.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and management for the Occupational Therapy team within the Enabling Independence service.
- Support and supervise occupational therapy staff to ensure high standards of professional practice.
- Oversee service delivery to ensure individuals receive appropriate occupational therapy support.
- Ensure that team performance aligns with statutory responsibilities, policies, and service priorities.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues and partner services to support effective service delivery.
- Contribute to service planning, operational development, and performance monitoring within the team.
- Support staff development and maintain a positive working environment within the service.
About You
You will be an experienced Occupational Therapist or therapy manager with leadership experience within social care services. You will be confident supervising staff, supporting professional development, and ensuring services are delivered effectively.
Strong organisational and communication skills are important in this role, as you will work closely with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to the development of services that support independence for individuals within the community.
Requirements
- Recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Experience managing or supervising occupational therapy staff.
- Knowledge of social care frameworks and community occupational therapy practice.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.

- Contract Type: Locum
- Contract Length: Ongoing
- Working Pattern: Hybrid working (3 days office-based, 2 days home working)
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday
- Salary: £45 per hour (umbrella)
- Driving Requirement: Car driver not essential
