This role focuses on delivering high-quality occupational therapy within general medicine, supporting independence, safe discharge, and improved daily living outcomes.

Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for adults in acute inpatient settings.

Develop and implement individualised intervention plans to promote functional independence and recovery.

Provide expert advice on moving and handling, equipment, and adaptations to support patient safety and independence.

Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, patient-centred care and effective discharge planning.

Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to service audits and quality improvement initiatives.

Offer guidance, support, and mentorship to junior staff and therapy assistants where required.
