Lead on complex and high-risk cases within Brent Council’s social care services, ensuring best practice in line with legislative frameworks such as the Care Act 2014 or Children Act 1989.

Provide expert professional guidance, mentoring, and support to social workers and newly qualified staff, promoting reflective and strengths-based practice.

Complete and oversee high-quality assessments, support or care planning, and reviews that are person-centred and outcome-focused.

Contribute to safeguarding enquiries, court proceedings, and multi-agency decision-making, acting as a lead practitioner in complex scenarios.

Support service development by participating in audits, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives across the team.

Act as a point of escalation for casework queries, championing ethical, evidence-informed practice and driving professional development within Brent’s social care workforce.
