The London Borough of Redbridge Council is seeking a motivated and professional Occupational Therapist to join its Adult Social Care team. This role involves delivering occupational therapy services within the community, supporting residents to maintain independence, improve wellbeing, and live safely in their own homes. The successful candidate will work as part of a collaborative team committed to high-quality, person-centred care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake holistic, strengths-based assessments of adults in community settings to identify occupational needs and promote independence.

  • Recommend and coordinate the provision of appropriate equipment and home adaptations to support safe daily living and reduce risk.

  • Develop personalised intervention plans aimed at maximising function, wellbeing, and community participation.

  • Work collaboratively with service users, carers, health professionals, housing teams, and other social care staff to ensure joined-up support.

  • Contribute to safeguarding processes, mental capacity assessments, and risk management as part of statutory responsibilities.

  • Maintain accurate case records in line with council policies and contribute to service development and professional supervision.
