Service: Mental Health Services
Job Details:
- Band 6 Occupational Therapist required to start ASAP to support mental health services.
- Manage a caseload of service users with complex, severe and enduring mental health needs.
- Use evidence-based practice and recovery-focused principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate treatment interventions.
- Support service users to improve quality of life and engage in meaningful daily activities.
- Apply a high level of understanding of the impact of mental illness and associated physical conditions.
- Provide advice, training and recommendations on lifestyle changes and environmental adaptations.
- Assess and recommend equipment, aids and adaptations to support independence.
- Provide leadership and supervision to junior and unqualified staff where required.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to support recovery-oriented care planning.
Skills / Experience:
- HCPC registered Occupational Therapist.
- Experience working with individuals with severe and enduring mental health conditions.
- Experience managing complex caseloads within mental health settings.
- Knowledge of recovery-oriented practice and evidence-based interventions.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience supervising or supporting junior staff (desirable).
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 08:30 – 16:30.
