These positions sit within Children’s Therapies services, focusing on assessment and intervention for children and young people aged 0–19 years, including those requiring support through Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

The Occupational Therapist will deliver assessments, reports, and targeted interventions, supporting children with functional needs across home and school environments. The role involves working closely with families, schools, and multidisciplinary teams to provide advice, develop programmes, and support positive outcomes for children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake follow-up assessments and reviews to monitor progress.
  • Maintain accurate documentation including reports and clinical records.
  • Manage a structured caseload with a mix of initial assessments and follow-up appointments.

children’s therapy services. You will be confident undertaking assessments, writing reports for EHCPs, and
delivering interventions within both home and school settings.

You will demonstrate strong organisational skills, the ability to manage a structured caseload, and
confidence working collaboratively with families, schools, and multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements

  • Recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience working within paediatric occupational therapy services.
  • Experience contributing to EHCP assessments and report writing.
  • Children’s safeguarding knowledge and experience.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
