Service: Outpatient Hand Therapy
Job Details:
- Band 6 Hand Therapist required for immediate start to join a specialist hand therapy team.
- Based within the outpatient department at Croydon University Hospital.
- Assess and treat a wide range of hand and wrist conditions including trauma and elective cases.
- Manage conditions such as RA, OA, CRPS and post-surgical rehabilitation.
- Fabricate thermoplastic splints and deliver specialist hand therapy interventions.
- Provide wound care and rehabilitation plans tailored to patient needs.
- Work closely with Trauma & Orthopaedic Consultants through weekly clinics.
- Manage a varied and often complex caseload with effective prioritisation.
- Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to optimise patient outcomes.
Skills / Experience:
- Qualified Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist with relevant registration.
- Essential: Experience working within a hand therapy role.
- Essential: Ability to fabricate thermoplastic splints.
- Experience managing trauma and elective hand therapy patients.
- Knowledge of hand/wrist pathologies and rehabilitation techniques.
- Experience in wound management.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
