Gloucestershire County Council is seeking a skilled and empathetic Social Worker to join the Adolescents Team. This role focuses on supporting vulnerable young people aged 11-18 who may be experiencing complex challenges including risk-taking behaviours, exploitation, and family difficulties. The postholder will work in partnership with young people, families, and multi-agency partners to safeguard and promote positive outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and manage risk: Conduct thorough assessments and develop safeguarding plans for adolescents at risk of harm or exploitation.

  • Direct work with young people: Build trusting relationships to support young people’s resilience, independence, and well-being.

  • Collaborate with partners: Work closely with education, health, youth justice, and voluntary sector agencies to provide coordinated support.

  • Maintain accurate case records: Ensure detailed and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes in line with statutory requirements.
