View JobICU Nurse – Intensive Care Unit
Tripod Partners are looking for skilled ICU Nurses to join the Intensive Care Unit in Cheltenham. This full-time role offers 7-day shift coverage for a minimum of 3 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialist intensive care for critically ill patients, including those with multi-organ failure, post-surgical complications, and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).
- Conduct detailed patient assessments and administer individualized treatment plans to ensure optimal recovery.
- Monitor arterial lines, central venous catheters, and ventilator settings, ensuring precise adjustments as required.
- Handle urgent and emergency situations with confidence, including cardiac arrests and rapid deteriorations.
- Collaborate closely with anesthetists, consultants, and allied health professionals to provide seamless patient care.
- Educate and support families, offering clear updates on treatment progress and critical care interventions.
Position Details:
- Location: Cheltenham
- Work Pattern: Full-time, 7 days a week (Days, Nights, and Weekends)
- Contract Length: Minimum 3 months
- Rates:
- Weekday: £26.00 per hour
- Nights & Saturdays: £32.00 per hour
- Sundays & Bank Holidays: £40.00 per hour
- Pay Type: Umbrella or PAYE available
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RN) with active NMC registration.
- Significant experience in an ICU or critical care setting, managing ventilated and hemodynamically unstable patients.
- Strong competency in administering IV medications, sedation, and advanced airway management.
- Proficiency in infection control protocols, sepsis management, and life-support techniques.
