As a qualified and experienced Occupational Therapist with London Borough of Redbridge Council, working across Bands 5 and 6, you will provide specialist assessment and intervention focusing on moving and handling, equipment provision and environmental adaptations. Collaborating closely with service users, families, carers and multidisciplinary teams, you will develop and deliver personalised programmes that promote safety, independence and improved quality of life.

  • Conduct detailed assessments of moving and handling needs, equipment and adaptations.

  • Develop, implement and review tailored occupational therapy intervention plans centred on safe moving and handling techniques and equipment use.

  • Work collaboratively with service users, carers and professionals to coordinate care and ensure effective use of adaptive equipment.

  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical records in line with council and professional standards.

  • Provide education, advice and training to support service users, carers and colleagues in moving and handling and equipment use.

  • Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives within the occupational therapy team.
