Contract Length: 6 months
Job Details: Specialist / Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist required to travel across Mid Essex. The role will include lone working within schools and homes.

- Assess children and young people’s communication needs
- Deliver targeted intervention for phonology, language, alternative and augmentative communication (AAC), and a range of speech and language difficulties (excluding dysphagia)
- Write termly care plans and contribute to wider care documentation
- Band 7 SLT to contribute to Tribunal process reports where required
- Provide clinical support and guidance to lower band SLT team members as appropriate
Essential Skills/Experience:

- Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience (for Band 6 level)
- Experience working with children and young people with speech and language difficulties, autism and special educational needs
- Ability to work independently, including lone working
- Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle for travel across Mid Essex
- Experience with Systm1 desirable, or willingness to be trained
Working Hours: Part time or Full time. Monday to Friday, 09.00 – 17.00 (flexibility around school hours may be considered).
