Act on behalf of East Riding of Yorkshire Council to lead and manage a frontline children’s social work team, ensuring safe, timely, and effective service delivery in line with statutory duties and local priorities.

Provide clear leadership, direction, and support to social workers and practitioners, promoting a culture of high performance, professional accountability, and reflective practice.

Oversee the management of complex cases across Child in Need, Child Protection, Looked After Children, and Court proceedings, ensuring consistent quality and compliance with legislation.

Ensure effective supervision and performance management, identifying development needs, supporting staff wellbeing, and upholding professional standards within the team.

Promote strong multi-agency working relationships, leading strategy discussions, safeguarding meetings, and supporting collaborative care planning for children and families.

Contribute to service improvement and strategic development, using data, audits, and feedback to identify areas for innovation, efficiency, and better outcomes in East Riding’s Children’s Services.
