Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) – Band 6
Location: Devon, Plymouth
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm
Contract: 3 months (with potential for extension)
Pay Rate: £27.00 per hour
We are seeking an experienced Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) to join a dedicated multidisciplinary mental health team providing outpatient, community-focused care. You will be responsible for delivering evidence-based interventions, conducting assessments and reviews, and contributing to ongoing care planning in line with NICE guidance.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload and deliver individualised care plans
-
Conduct initial assessments and regular follow-ups
-
Maintain accurate clinical documentation
-
Liaise effectively with GPs, referrers, and other professionals
-
Participate in clinical supervision and governance activities
Requirements:
-
NMC registration as a Mental Health Nurse
-
Minimum 2 years’ experience in mental health, including community settings
-
Proficiency in NICE-recommended interventions (e.g. CBT)
-
Up-to-date BLS, Safeguarding (Level 3), AED, IPC, and Anaphylaxis training
Desirable:
-
Postgraduate qualification in psychological therapies
-
Full UK driving licence
