Join Durham County Council’s Children’s Services as a Qualified Social Worker, playing a key role in safeguarding children and supporting families across the county.

Undertake statutory duties under the Children Act 1989, including assessments, child protection enquiries, and care planning to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children.

Manage a caseload of children in need, those subject to child protection plans, and looked after children, ensuring timely, child-focused interventions.

Apply a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach to build positive relationships with children and families, supporting long-term change and stability.

Collaborate with professionals across education, health, and other agencies to deliver integrated, multi-agency support plans.
